Spiritual & Leadership Development

Bible Studies | middle school -1st & 3rd Wednesday from 6:30-9pm; high school - Thursdays from 5:30-6:30p
Children in our after-school program Read to Succeed (see below) not only get educational encouragement, but spiritual as well! Each time we meet with them we share a Bible story, memorize scripture and pray.  We also have weekly Bible Studies for middle and high school students.   In addition, almost all of our outreaches contain a devotional and prayer component.  Your heart will surely be moved when you get to know our precious kids! Contact Brenda.

Bible Camp | various times throughout the summer
Volunteer your time or sponsor an inner city teenager for $150 to have the opportunity to get out of the city and away from the noise of their everyday lives that distract them from God!! For most kids, this camp will be the first time they've gone beyond the city limits and will get to experience such a getaway! Every kid deserves the chance to attend Bible camp; please sponsor someone today or pitch in and give us a hand and provide this potentially life-changing event for them!  Send checks to Oasis of Hope and write 'summer camp' in the memo. Contact Terrice.

Vacation Bible School | June
Get ready for an exciting adventure with inner city kids as we explore God's Word, play games, sing songs and make crafts together! The kids look forward to VBS each year and it's impossible to not be moved as you work side-by-side with our students! Contact Karen.

Easter Egg Hunt | Every Spring prior to Easter
Neighborhood children are invited to come to an outdoor massive egg hunt and celebration that includes games, candy, the Easter story and lots of fun! We need lots of candy filled eggs, egg hiders and helpers. Contact Karen.

Mentoring | ongoing
Many kids in our neighborhood come from broken homes and painful relationships. Want to change the course of someone's life? Then come love on one of our kids; they need you! All you have to do is develop a relationship with them and provide encouragement, support and spiritual guidance. Not only will their life change, but so will yours. Mentor someone today! Contact Terry.

Mentoring Young Mothers | ongoing
A special mentoring opportunity exists to help our expectant mothers through those challenging months leading up to and after delivery.  Become a mentor that helps two lives simultaneously! Contact Karey.

Sports Outreaches | Baseball/Basketball/Football
Oasis of Hope provides volunteer coaches and volunteers for youth baseball and basketball programs for kids between the ages of 8 & 15.  We also volunteer with the Manassas Football and Baseball teams helping with coaching, equipment needs, annual sports camps (see below) and mentoring. Being a part of a team not only teaches the skills of the game, but also demonstrates teamwork, commitment, good sportsmanship and allows us the opportunity to make a positive difference in a young person's life. Come coach or volunteer with us! Contact Terrice.
