Current Prayer Requests:

Pray for the families who will come to the Oasis Toy Store ... that they would be blessed through this ministry and would be able to purchase their children's gifts with dignity.  Also pray for blessings and safety for the volunteers and local staff.

Pray for the Oasis Appliance store as they open at the new storefront with attached storage!   Also pray for continued donations of used appliances and staff and volunteers to man the store.  Pray for Terry as he currently works with local big box stores to see if they'd consider donating their trade-in appliances when customers purchase new; pray for wisdom and God's favor.  Please also pray for special blessings for our volunteer, Mr. Bill Kane, who has been instrumental in getting this venture off the ground!  This is also a huge PRAISE that this endeavor has been this successful!

Ongoing Prayer Requests:

Pray for the development of Bearwater Park now that we have received the grant for $1.2 million dollars for the demolition and new construction!  Please pray as we go through the demolition process, contractor bids, and facilitation of this huge endeavor!  Pray for wisdom w/ this venture and continued vision!  Pray that other city leaders would also be excited about what Oasis of Hope is doing and be instrumental in assisting us!

Pray for the Oasis Neighborhood Stabilization program that we have received a grant for $303,000 to rehab seven new homes in our North Memphis neighborhood!!!  This grant was derived with MANY hours of paperwork and research!  Please pray that we would appropriately comply with all of the federal requirements attached to this kind of funding and for wisdom in selecting the appropriate properties to rehab.

Pray for each and every one of the kids in school at Caldwell Elementary, Humes Middle and Manassas High.  Pray that Oasis of Hope would be able to have an impact on their physical and spiritual lives!

Pray for all our volunteers as they work with kids, trying to enhance their educational and spiritual development - for wisdom, patience, peace and safety.

Pray for our staff individually that God would continue to refuel them as they seek to show God's love to those in the inner city.  Pray for Terry, Karen, Jennifer, Terrice, and Brenda.

Pray for the teen and single mothers living in inner-city Memphis (those featured on Babyland and others).  Pray for protection and good health for their babies and for God to change the infant mortality statistics and allow little ones to live healthy and full lives so they can grow up to be all that God wants them to be!  Pray for their futures and that they'd make good decisions.

Pray for the teens in the inner city who are tempted to get involved in drugs, sex, gangs & violence.  Pray for protection, a commitment to education, and mentors to come along side of them and show them a better way as well as introduce them to Christ!

Pray for God to revitalize this neighborhood of North Memphis bringing spiritual, physical, economic and educational health to the community.  Pray that Oasis of Hope would humbly be the hands and feet of God's love!!

Pray for the continued financial support Oasis needs to keep investing in people's lives.
