Ride The Greenline With Our Bike Ministry On October 1st

bikesOn Sat. October 1st (Noon- 4pm), the Oasis Bike Shop Ministry will attend and ride in the 1st Annual Shelby Farms Park Greenline Birthday Bash. This consists of seven miles of live music, great food, and healthy, family fun. We will have a booth set up at one of the celebration points along the Greenline (the Waring Street access) and could use a few more volunteers to either bike the trail or man the table. If Oct.1st doesn't work for you, we are continually looking for volunteers to help organize and run the shop which is in its beginning stages and is located in the Oasis Appliance Store, 1294 Thomas St. There is a lot of momentum about the Greenline and expanding it all the way from Shelby Farms (near Hope Church) to Mud Island which means it might run right through our ministry neighborhood (see related News 5 article)! The goals of this ministry are to help influence inner city kids to a healthier lifestyle, acquire bikes, teach them basic repairs, and of course build relationships and impact lives throughout the process. If you are interested in getting involved in this ministry contact Bill.

STORIES OF HOPE
“With God’s grace and direction, Anthony and I have grown to know, respect and love each other. And that relationship has helped me practice a patience and love that are blessings in my life.”
