Update on damaged Hope House: Oasis Director, Terry Hoff said, "God
has been very faithful. With so many trees down in the storm from June
12th it should have taken days, if not weeks for a tree company to
remove the huge tree that collapsed right onto one of our homes. However, Bill Jurgens and Jones Brothers Tree Service
were there the next day! The contractor, William Parks, and the
insurance adjustor agreed on the repair price immediately without any
problems. The contractor has been steady at work repairing the
building and has
about one week left to finish the job. It was a major project but God
protected the family and has worked out the details far better than
could be imagined since then. We are very thankful to Him for His
provision. And Glen is thankful to get his family back home without
major delays.
Posted June 13th: Summer winds blew a huge tree right onto one
of the properties built and owned by Oasis of Hope, crushing through
the upper level of the house and landing largely in the children's
first floor bedroom on Friday, June 12th.Thankfully, no one was home at
the time, although the family
(Glen & Toya Lloyd) had been there prior for the majority of the
day. Their response in the midst of this shocking event: "We are
blessed. No one was hurt and we are sssooo blessed." Please keep this
family in your prayers through the process of reconstruction.
